We also sell all parts: drum covering material (solids, pearls, sparkles, glass glitters, satin flames), Keller and other wood shells, brass and steel shells, segmented shells in exotic woods, single ply steambent shells, acrylic shells, wood and metal hoops, lugs, strainers, brackets, holders, tension rods, bass drum claws, lug and bracket screws, tom mounts and holders, etc.; anything and everything you need to repair, refurbish or build your own drum or drumset. Let us help with any portion of the woodworking or finishing process. Our prices are competitive with the other online drum building supply retailers. Woodwork
- Bearing edges cut on old or new shells. Specify 45 or 30 degree cuts or roundover cuts and profile of seat on top. We can explain the choices to you. Also includes high speed buffer polishing of edge and squaring (sawing) of shell if necessary. We can copy any brand drum's edge profile:

$40 for new snare bed cut or to recut old one

Yes, we can fix cracked and split shells
- Circles and other shaped vents cut in snares, quoted per drum. We do not recommend this.Why? It makes dynamic range of your drum smaller and the diminishes the timbre! In other words you lose the soft notes and your drum sounds like shit :-)
Recovering, Painting & Powdercoating Labor
- $40 labor plus materials for snare drums and toms to 16"
- $60 labor plus materials for basses and toms 18" and larger (two pieces required)
- $40 hourly charge for special cases of any excessive glue/laminate removal or sanding.
(Customer removes hardware and ships shells nested in one box. Customer pays shipping both ways. Please do not use styrofoam peanuts to pack. We remove old covering material. We cut and apply new covering, trim to edge and drill holes; Customer )

Taping new covering; we do not recommend this taping method because taped covering can bubble when it gets extremely hot. Customer must sign release that holds George's unaccountable for condition of taped wrap once it leaves our shop. Same prices as above. We recommend that the covering be glued

Mallet Instrument Repair
- Bar tuning; $70 per octave
- Bar re-finishing $72 per octave
Cymbal cutting, sizzles, polishing and repair
- Cymbal polishing; $20 per cymbal (hourly rate in case of excessive dirt/tarnish cleaning that goes past half hour)

Cymbal Crack Repair; $30 per cymbal. We cut small cracks out with a machine to a particular shape cut that leaves most of the tone of the cymbal intact and inhibits further cracking. no welding or brazing. This does not guarantee that further cracking will not occur. All cymbals crack.

Cymbal Rivet Installation; $20 per cymbal, please state # of rivets. We suggest two and not more than six.

Cymbal hole grommet installation; stops deterioration of cymbal hole $10 per cymbal
Hand Drum Repair
- Restringing and reheading of rope djembes $125 to $175, including head and new rope if needed, clean or with hair..
- Conga and bongo head tucking: $40 plus price of conga skin
General Repair
- Other woodwork, Sanding, removing old covering glue and finishes; $40 per hour

Metal fabrication, welding, stand and pedal repair, tube cutting, rethreading, removing stuck screws $40 per hour
